Le’Fevre Personal Care, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Care Staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Community Access Group (CAG) and Community Living Support (CLS) programs.
This role focuses on community integration, supervision, social support, and meaningful engagement while maintaining compliance with DBHDD/COMP waiver standards.
Responsibilities
Community Access Group (CAG)
Support individuals during community outings and group activities
Promote social skills and positive community engagement
Ensure safety and supervision in public settings
Facilitate recreational, educational, and vocational activities
Encourage independence and appropriate decision-making
Complete daily service documentation (attendance, activities, participation, progress, incidents)
Enter documentation into Therap or agency systems in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements
Community Living Support (CLS – Companion Care Only)
Provide supervision and safety monitoring in the home and community
Offer companionship and social interaction
Support participation in hobbies and community activities
Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping (with the individual)
Accompany individuals to non-medical appointments and outings
Provide reminders for routines and scheduled activities
Observe and report changes to supervisors
Complete required documentation
Provide transportation using your personal vehicle to safely transport individuals to and from community activities and appointments as part of service delivery
Maintain a personal vehicle that is in good working condition, clean, insured, and safe for passenger transport at all times
Follow all agency transportation policies and COMP Section 905 requirements
CLS services are non-medical and do not include personal care, medication administration, or skilled nursing.
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Reliable personal vehicle in safe operating condition required for CLS services
Proof of current auto insurance required
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Must meet COMP Section 905 transportation requirements
Ability to pass physical and be free of communicable diseases
