Shop Lead

Lead mechanic provides lower level technicians guidance in repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies.

Responsibility Profile

• Performs mechanical repairs and services to equipment daily.
• Performs motor and gear box changes and maintenance.
• Contribute to daily start-up and monthly department meetings ensuring thorough communication to associates.
• Manage and monitor the performance and efficiency of repair operations.
• Actively participate in technical and safety training programs.
• Perform computer-related activities as necessary to accomplish tasks, including the work management and project scheduling systems, Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs, e-mail, calendar, and spreadsheets.
• Directs Maintenance Mechanics to maintain plant equipment safely and properly with the goal of 100% reliability and minimum downtime for unexpected repairs.
• Covers operations and maintenance positions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Shift: 6:30 am to 3 pm

Pay range: $25-$35 p/h depending on experience

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of transportation mechanic experience.
• High school diploma.
• Must have a valid Driver's License
