Leesel Transportation Corp. Under the supervision of the Compliance Manager the Safety Supervisor is responsible for monitoring driver performance, investigating accidents and reporting all related activities. Provide input for accident prevention overall safety related matters. Job Responsibilities: • Respond to and investigate all accidents and injuries in the specified location, on the road and at loading/unloading site. • Administer and maintain company random drug/alcohol testing and post-accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol/drug testing in conjunction with DOT and company policies and procedures. • Investigate all student incidents on the bus. • Investigate employee injuries. • Call all employees out on works compensation once a month to get updated status. • Liaison with company personnel, clients, and passengers. • Perform Driver Defensives on each driver (including road evaluation) at least once during the school year. Initiate retraining, as needed. • Investigate customer service complaints related to safety issues and take appropriate corrective action. • Conduct road observations. • Prepare documentation and represent company at union hearings. • Prepare reports and other related assignments. • Instruct safety, S.B.D.I and 19-A refreshers once a year. • Conduct monthly safety meetings. • Drive routes when necessary. • Drive safety effectiveness using technology and coaching. • Manage driver quality through training, coordination, and support. • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional results. Annual Salary Rate: $70,000.00 Job Qualifications: • NY State CDL A, B or C license with P & S endorsements. • Working knowledge of all industry related laws and regulations. • Computer proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel). • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills (both verbal and written). • Good problem solver and strong abilities in crisis management. • Organized and detailed work habits.
