What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Keeper PT/FT position at Leesburg Animal Park?
The Animal Keeper is responsible for the daily care of domestic and exotic animals. Duties include preparing diets, feeding animals, cleaning exhibits, etc. Staff are also responsible for the timely operation of many service-based visitor interactions, including: pony rides, wagon rides, educational animal encounters, assisting with offsite Zoo-to-You programs.
Previous experience working with farm animals, preferably in a paid position. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions and capable of lifting 50 pounds.
