Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role located in Palm Bay, FL. The Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair company trucks, towing vehicles, and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily tasks include performing routine maintenance, completing scheduled preventive maintenance services, and addressing mechanical and electrical issues as they arise. The role also involves troubleshooting breakdowns, documenting work performed, and communicating clearly with dispatch and drivers about vehicle status and repair needs. The Mechanic will follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and support efficient fleet operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for trucks, towing vehicles, and related equipment.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs, including inspections, lubrication, and replacement of wear parts.
- Ability to work with Heavy Equipment, including safe operation around lifts, jacks, and towing apparatus.
- Effective Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
- Previous experience as an automotive, diesel, or fleet mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of shop safety practices and proper use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow repair manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site with a flexible schedule as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.
