Duties
- Deliver a wide range of hair services including cuts, styling, coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading with precision and creativity
- Perform grooming services such as straight razor shaves and beard trims for barbering clients
- Provide expert advice on hair care products and retail items through effective upselling and retail sales techniques
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and handling payments with retail math proficiency
- Mentor junior team members in technical skills like color theory, eyelash extensions, hair styling, and customer service excellence
- Support store management by maintaining inventory levels, organizing supplies, and contributing to a welcoming salon environment
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state law
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related beauty services with a portfolio of work preferred
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and salon safety standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with diverse clients
- Ability to perform retail sales effectively through upselling techniques while maintaining genuine customer relationships
- Knowledge of color theory for customized coloring services and client consultations
