Job Title: Custom Millwork Fabricator/Carpenter

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Millwork Fabricator/Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship, an eye for precision, and a strong background in woodworking. As a Custom Millwork Fabricator/Carpenter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom millwork pieces, contributing to the overall success of our projects. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  • Custom Millwork Fabrication:
  • Interpret and understand architectural drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.
  • Use various woodworking tools and machinery to fabricate custom millwork pieces such as cabinets, doors, panels, and other architectural elements.
  • Ensure the accurate measurement, cutting, shaping, and assembly of wood materials.
  • Material Selection and Procurement:
  • Collaborate with project managers and designers to select appropriate wood materials based on project requirements.
  • Efficiently manage and track inventory of wood materials and supplies.
  • Quality Control:
  • Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and quality in all custom millwork projects.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications and adhere to industry standards.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with project teams, architects, and designers to understand project goals and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other craftsmen, carpenters, and tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of custom millwork into overall project designs.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and working with tools.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards for woodworking and carpentry.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a custom millwork fabricator or carpenter, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and design specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Communication:
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interpret project requirements.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
  • Stamina and physical dexterity required for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
