Trader

We are seeking an experienced and driven Trader to join our client's broker-dealer team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, experience executing trades across various asset classes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. This role requires sound analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service while supporting the firm's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the purchase and sale of securities on behalf of the firm in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Monitor market conditions, economic news, and industry trends to identify trading opportunities and manage risk.
• Evaluate, test, and help optimize trading algorithms and automated trading strategies.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and other team members to develop and enhance trading models and strategies.
• Monitor trading positions and portfolios to ensure compliance with investment guidelines, risk parameters, and regulatory standards.
• Accurately record, reconcile, and report daily trading activity, including profit and loss (P&L).
• Analyze trading performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain current knowledge of financial markets, products, and applicable regulations.
• Support business development efforts by assisting with client presentations, educational content, and marketing materials as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while providing a high level of professionalism and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Active FINRA Series 7 license required.
• Previous experience as a trader within a broker-dealer, investment firm, or financial institution.
• Fluency in English and Spanish
