Job Summary:
Dedicated cost accountant supporting heavy civil and infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water/wastewater, airports). Focus on job costing, cost-to-complete forecasting, change order pricing, and subcontractor payment controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed job cost accounting for multiple concurrent heavy civil projects
- Track labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs against budget
- Prepare monthly cost-to-complete forecasts and over/under billing analysis
- Review change orders, back charges, and lien waiver compliance
- Reconcile CIP, retainage, and bonding reporting requirements
- Heavy daily use of Vista Viewpoint or similar project-cost system
Qualifications:
- 3 years cost accounting in construction (heavy civil experience strongly preferred)
- Expert-level Vista Viewpoint or comparable project-cost software
- Strong understanding of AIA billing and prevailing wage compliance
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
