We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer with a focus in commercial plumbing to join our team in Asheville, NC. The Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of plumbing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications and safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with at least 1 year of industry experience who is eager to grow in the mechanical contracting field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project managers and superintendents in the coordination and execution of commercial plumbing projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure project compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and material procurement to support timely delivery.
- Collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist with quality control, safety compliance, and on-site problem solving.
- Support project closeout including punch list completion, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required).
- 1 year of experience in commercial plumbing, mechanical contracting, or construction engineering preferred.
