My client, a well-established leader in the financial services industry with a diverse and high-quality portfolio, is seeking an experienced Investment Accountant to support both the accounting and operational functions of its investment funds. This position stands out for its client-facing component, requiring a professional who can confidently and clearly communicate with investors, fund administrators, and other external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Maintain accurate and timely fund accounting records across multiple investment vehicles
Review fund administrator reports and reconcile investor statements, ensuring consistency and transparency
Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations across cash, investments, and capital activity
Partner with internal teams to support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to support audits and filings
Monitor and track capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
Identify discrepancies, communicate findings with relevant parties, and help drive process improvements
Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
4 years of experience in fund accounting, investment accounting, or within financial services
Exposure to investment structures such as private equity, hedge funds, or similar vehicles
Experience interacting with fund administrators, auditors, and external stakeholders
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with accounting or portfolio management systems is a plus
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal teams and external clients
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
