What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Attorney position at Leeds Professional Resources?
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned caseload from intake and pleadings through mediation, hearing, trial, and final judgment.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement documents, and proposed orders.
- Appear at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials throughout Florida as assigned.
- Maintain timely client communication and clear documentation in the case-management system.
- Direct paralegal work, calendar deadlines, and collaborate with the legal team on case strategy.
- Meet ethical, quality, productivity, and client-service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted membership in The Florida Bar.
- Family-law litigation experience in Florida.
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, courtroom, and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and a full caseload.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for proceedings when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of family-law experience.
- Trial experience and familiarity with Florida family-law rules.
- Rocket Matter or comparable case-management experience.
