Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including retail and office assets. This role involves leading accounting teams, managing financial reporting, and collaborating with senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct accounting teams in managing daily operations, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions for commercial properties.
- Analyze general ledger accounts, prepare financial statements, and ensure proper accruals and adjustments in compliance with GAAP.
- Develop cash flow forecasts, perform budget variance analyses, and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, and support special projects to enhance business processes and technology integration.
- Property Accounting Experience: Managed daily accounting operations for a commercial portfolio, ensuring accurate financial transactions, general ledger analysis, and compliance with GAAP across retail and office properties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 10 years of real estate accounting experience; CPA preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial analysis, with prior public accounting experience as a plus.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Salary : $155,000 - $180,000
