The Cabinet Assembler is responsible for building all base and wall cabinets according to the following steps.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Cabinet Assembler is responsible for building all base, wall, specials, and pantry cabinets according to the following essential functions and duties:
Responsible for placing the frame facing down on the building table (conveyor system).
Responsible for applying glue in frames and end grooves as necessary.
Responsible for nailing the end and bottom panels to the frame.
Responsible for installing the toe kick on the cabinet.
Responsible for placing the shelves in the cabinet.
Responsible for the installation of plastic corner blocks on the cabinet.
Responsible for loading cabinet on the conveyor.
Additional duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to distinguish wood species and door styles.
Must be able to perform basic math skills and ability to read a measuring tape.
Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals.
Must have a basic ability for reading and writing.
Must be able to be trained on using hand tools.
Education and Experience
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience instead of Education.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
Ability to work an 8 to 12-hour daily schedule, five days a week including some Saturdays.
Ability to work in a non-climate control production environment for long periods of time.
