Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques, fabrication, and blueprint reading, with the ability to work safely and efficiently on construction sites or in a fabrication shop. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects involving sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG and FCAW welding on a variety of materials including sheet metal, pipe, and structural components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication
- Operate fabrication equipment including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools
- Set up and operate rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy materials or assemblies
- Fabricate components according to specifications using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers, micrometers, and visual testing methods
- Maintain a clean work environment adhering to safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, fabrication, and installation projects on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, plasma cutting
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication processes
- Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments involving ductwork, piping, or structural steel
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and machining operations
- Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading and assembly of fabricated components
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
- Prior experience with schematics reading and mechanical assembly is desirable
