POSITION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Serves as the lead coordinator for all entertainment activities across Leech Lake Gaming properties and the Leech Lake Reservation. This position is responsible for booking entertainment, managing event logistics, and ensuring seamless communication between artists, agents, venue teams, marketing staff, security, and food services.
In addition, this role oversees the development and leadership of the Entertainment Committee, fostering collaboration to create engaging, community-driven entertainment experiences that align with the organization’s goals and brand standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works closely with talent agencies to secure national, regional, and local entertainment for Leech Lake Gaming properties and events across the Leech Lake Reservation.
2. Oversee all aspects of entertainment engagements, including contracting, lodging, transportation, production, hospitality, and rider compliance.
3. Supports Player Development staff in coordinating VIP and invite-only events, including talent booking, hospitality, menu planning, production logistics, and overall guest experience.
4. Develops and maintains monthly and quarterly entertainment calendars, including quarterly competitive analysis. Manages a shared digital calendar with the Marketing team and ensures bookings are secured 3–9 months in advance to support marketing, promotion, and ticketing timelines, pricing, and content alignment.
5. Books and evaluates regional and local acts for event venues, monitoring performance quality and audience engagement.
6. Coordinates timely ordering and placement of internal entertainment signage and supports external advertising and promotional efforts.
7. Oversee meet-and-greet events in collaboration with Player Development staff and is onsite from setup through completion to ensure proper execution.
8. Ensures all entertainment contracts, riders, and merchandise agreements are executed as promised, including verification that casinos receive their documented share of merchandise sales.
9. Serves as onsite entertainment liaison during events to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
10. Coordinates all entertainment contracting, documentation, and processing requirements.
11. Communicates event requirements to all relevant department managers, facilitates pre-event planning meetings to assign responsibilities, and conducts post-event follow-up to confirm completion of all requirements.
12. Manages the department’s digital filing system, maintaining consistent organization, naming conventions, and version control.
13. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
14. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
15. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
16. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
17. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
