Position Overview: The Regional Distribution Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the buying, selling, and distribution of cannabis products between state-licensed and tribal entities across Minnesota. This role ensures compliant, efficient, and timely movement of products while maintaining strong relationships with tribal partners, state-licensed operators, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Distribution, Buying and Selling Coordination
- Coordinate the purchase, sale, and distribution of cannabis products between state-licensed and tribal partners within Minnesota.
- Manage regional distribution schedules to ensure timely and compliant product movement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tribal and state distribution relationships.
- Support contract execution, order fulfillment, and delivery coordination.
Logistics and Compliance
- Ensure all distributions activities comply with the Band’s Cannabis Ordinance, and if applicable, the Compact between the Band and the State of Minnesota.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including manifests, transport records, and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Oversee and verify product movement within the seed-to-sale system, METRC.
- Stay informed on evolving cannabis regulations and adjust operations accordingly.
Inventory, Reporting, and Oversight
- Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and distribution issues.
- Prepare regular reports on distribution activity, buying/selling volume, and regional performance.
- Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements.
Cross-Functional and External Collaboration
- Work closely with cultivation, manufacturing, sales, legal, and compliance teams.
- Support new product launches by coordinating distribution timelines and logistics.
- Assist leadership with strategic planning related to distribution operations.
- Support expansion of distribution partnerships with tribal and state entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in business, logistics, operations management or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution logistics, supply chain, or operations.
- Demonstrated experience with Minnesota based distribution logistics.
- Strong understanding of regulated industries (cannabis experience strongly preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to manage complex logistics across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Successful applicants must successfully perform a background check and be licensable in accordance with the Band’s Cannabis Ordinance.
- Tribal Preference in hiring shall apply.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 dependent on experience.
- Bonus potential dependent on revenue growth and profitability.
