We are seeking a Shop Assistant to support daily operations by maintaining equipment, handling materials, and keeping the work environment clean, safe, and organized. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a proactive attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- General organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, trucks, toolboxes, equipment, and overall presentation of grounds.
- Clean trucks and trailers that come into the shop in a safe and efficient manner.
- Pick up and deliver parts and supplies
- Routine maintenance on equipment and trucks such as filling with gas and checking fluids and tires.
- Communicate with upper management when items in the shop need replenishing, repairing, or replacing.
- Have a go-getter attitude to help management with tasks as needed.
- Willing to quickly move through repetitive and routine tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 1 years of experience working in shop environment preferred
- Hi-lo/forklift experience a plus
- Self-motivated and able to keep up in fast paced setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to receive constructive criticism
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers license
Physical Requirements
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height
- Ability to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, push, pull, bend, stoop, crouch, and crawl
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
