Job Summary And Qualifications

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Speech Therapist supervises therapy aides and students. What you will do in this role:

  • You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
  • You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
  • You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
  • You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.
  • You will serve as an educator to patients, families, student’s and colleagues.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Master’s degree in Speech – Language Pathology
  • American Speech & Hearing Association
  • Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)or beeligible for clinical fellowship.
  • One yearofwork experience or clinical internship is required.
  • Priorone yearofhospital/health care related experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills in word processing, internet.
