Description: The head coach is responsible for planning, managing and directing the entire 9-12 grade girls and boys Volleyball team program(s) (during each season). Specific shall include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Coaching the varsity girls or boys volleyball team(s).
- Coordinating with administration to hire assistant coaches
- Directing and supervising assistant volleyball coaches
- Managing all aspects of the program including practicing, competing, providing off-season improvement opportunities to include strength and conditioning and full usage of contact days
- Marketing and promoting the volleyball program(s).
- Coaching, guiding, and providing feedback to student athletes
- Scouting opponents.
- Managing a fiscally sound budget
- Monitoring class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress, and intervening where appropriate.
- Responsible for volleyball student-athlete retention
- Articulation with the feeder middle school program
- Providing summer camp opportunities for elementary students
