WEEKEND CAREGIVER

NOW HIRING – PART TIME WEEKEND CAREGIVER (~25 hours)

We are a small, supportive caregiving team seeking a reliable and compassionate part time caregiver to join us. This role has a set schedule, with flexibility being a core value of our team culture.

Flexibility does not mean last minute or surprise shifts. A full monthly schedule is created and shared the month prior. If someone is unexpectedly sick or needs a day off, we may ask other team members if they are able to help cover. Saying no is always okay.

Hours will temporarily increase for a few months (~10 hours) while a team member is on maternity leave, offering the opportunity for additional consistent hours during that period.

This position is ideal for someone who has another job, is in school, or is looking to add meaningful hours alongside other commitments.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a retired plastic surgeon with C4/5 incomplete quadriplegia. He is kind, understanding, funny and genuinely wonderful to work for. He has a great sense of humor, a fun spirit, and deeply appreciates his caregivers.

He has a strong work ethic and spends hours in the gym doing physical therapy. Outside of that, he enjoys fine dining, whiskey, and making the most of this chapter of his life with his wife.

SHIFT DETAILS (PLEASE READ)

This position is primarily weekend based with the following shifts:

• Friday day shift approximately 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Saturday double shift

– Day: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

– Night: 9:00 pm – 6:00 am

You are able to sleep during night shifts.

• Part time hours average around 25 hours per week
• Temporary increase in hours during maternity leave coverage
• Set schedule provided monthly

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with evening and morning routines
• Bowel care
• Medication assistance as directed
• Positioning and comfort support
• Personal care and mobility assistance
• Meal preparation (breakfast only)
• physical therapy assistance
• Clear communication with the care team

A housekeeper is employed. Caregivers are only responsible for light cleanup related to client care.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs
• Compassionate, dependable, and trustworthy
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience greatly preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn and be trained
• Ability to work independently

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

Our client takes 1–2 extended trips per year and several shorter trips, including travel to Palm Springs, Hawaii, Los Angeles and the Oregon Coast.

• Travel is planned well in advance
• Caregivers split the longer trips
• Lodging and meals are provided during travel
• Travel schedule and expectations are discussed ahead of time
• Ability and willingness to travel is required for this role

Travel offers the opportunity for additional hours and a unique caregiving experience outside of the home setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
