Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Watchmaker role based in Hackensack, NJ. The Watchmaker will perform diagnostic assessments, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of a wide range of watches, including luxury and high-complication pieces. Daily responsibilities include movement servicing, parts replacement, regulation, lubrication, water-resistance testing, and polishing as appropriate. The Watchmaker will collaborate with sales and customer service teams to clarify service requests, provide repair timelines, and ensure that every timepiece meets Lee Perla and Rolex standards before returning it to the client.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Watch Repair and servicing of mechanical and quartz Watches.
- Strong focus on Quality Control with a consistently High Level of Accuracy in all repair and assembly tasks.
- Formal watchmaking education (e.g., WOSTEP, SAWTA, or equivalent) or comparable hands-on experience in a professional workshop. Rolex certification is a must-have
- Proficiency with watchmaking tools, equipment, and technical documentation (technical sheets, exploded views, torque specs).
- Excellent manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to work patiently with small components over extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills, including time management, job tracking, and maintaining a clean, safe workbench and workshop area.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales and customer service teams in a client-focused environment.
