What are the responsibilities and job description for the SY26-27 School Psychologist position at Lee Montessori Public Charter School?
Lee Montessori is seeking a School Psychologist to provide a full range of school psychological services to children in grades Pre-K3 through 6 under the direction of the Campus Special Education Directors. The focus of this position would determine the student’s eligibility for special services, appropriate programming, and ongoing progress.
Major Responsibilities
- Provides meaningful, helpful suggestions to school teams regarding behavior management, social skill development, conflict resolution, and instructional strategies.
- Selects, administers, scores, and interprets approved individual psychological assessments, using instruments and procedures approved by Lee Montessori PCS to determine eligibility for special education services in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepares and completes evaluation reports utilizing the format approved by Lee Montessori PCS that provides meaningful data and recommendations to teachers and guardians.
- Uploads assessment reports to the system upon completion and documents all due diligence efforts made.
- Recommend appropriate interventions to strengthen academic and behavioral skills within the school setting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a doctorate in School Psychology
- Certification as a School Psychologist.
- Minimum of one-year full time school psychology experience.
- Ability to administer, analyze psychological and educational assessments and write quality comprehensive reports.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse student population, and committed to their own learning.
- Have excellent time management skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently/problem solve.
- Adhere to a high level of professional and ethical standards.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the classroom and school building.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children.

Salary : $80,090 - $136,288
