CNC Lathe Programmer
Now hiring an experienced CNC Lathe programmer (experience in a job shop environment a plus). Position available on 1st shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Program and operate CNC Lathes using Fanuc controls (primarily Haas, Doosan and Nakamura) with and without bar feeds
- Ensure streamlined production by working with other programmers to ensure constant Lathe operation
- Set-up, adjust, and operate all machine tools to perform machining using various metals
- Create prototypes from prints as needed (including initial program creation)
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum one year experience with CNC Lathe programming
- Ability to machine to print from start to finish (including program development) for prototype machining
- Ability to quickly and efficiently perform various set-up operations as needed
- Ability to perform minor maintenance on CNC Lathes
- Experience and ability to perform quality checks visually as well as with quality tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills in order to appropriately plan for customer orders on frequently changing lines
- Ability to work with minimal to no supervision as well as in a team environment
- Small shop with many “just in time” short order demands; must able to move quickly from one set-up to the next with jobs changing daily
- Knowledge of MasterCam a plus
- Knowledge of CNC Mill programming and set-up also a plus
