Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and transportation of deceased individuals in accordance with safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols
- Support funeral directors in coordinating funeral services and related events, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish
- Provide compassionate bereavement support and guidance to grieving families, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding throughout the process
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to organizational safety standards
- Drive company vehicles for transportation of remains or equipment as needed, maintaining proper licensing and driving records
- Offer exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with families, visitors, and team members during all stages of the funeral process
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent client communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in sensitive situations
- Experience in funeral & mortuary services or related fields such as event planning or sales is preferred
