Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Take and document vital signs, medical imaging, and other diagnostic information as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment.
- Review documentation and assist with medical coding as required.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Softdent software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation review processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
