Babysitter

Overview

We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and nurturing after-school babysitter to assist with the afternoon care of our 7-year-old daughter on weekday afternoons.

The primary responsibility is school pickup followed by supervision at our home until a parent returns from work. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can provide a safe, structured, and positive environment after school.

This role is well suited for a college student studying education, a nanny, teacher’s aide, or someone with childcare experience who values consistency and responsibility. Our goal is to find someone dependable who can become a trusted part of our daughter’s weekly routine.

Responsibilities

• Pick up our daughter from school and safely transport her to our home
• Supervise and care for her until a parent arrives home
• Assist with after-school routines including snacks, homework time, and light activities
• Engage with her in age-appropriate activities such as reading, games, or crafts
• Reinforce positive behavior, good manners, and respectful communication
• Maintain a safe and attentive environment at all times
• Perform light cleanup related to child activities (toys, snack dishes, etc.)
• Provide brief updates to parents regarding the afternoon

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
• Clean driving record
• Prior childcare, babysitting, nannying, or youth supervision experience preferred
• Responsible, punctual, and dependable
• Comfortable supervising a young child independently for several hours
• Strong communication skills and a patient, positive demeanor
• Ability to create a calm, structured after-school routine
• Ability to pass background check if requested
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus

Schedule

Monday–Friday afternoons
School pickup through early evening (exact hours to be discussed)

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on experience.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
