As a key player on-site, you'll be instrumental in maintaining project schedules, supervising team members, and adhering to safety standards while contributing to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground construction equipment with skill and safety awareness, including trenchers, excavators, and specialized pipeline machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project tasks.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications, safety standards (OSHA), and client requirements.
• Support budgeting efforts by tracking equipment usage, materials, and labor costs for project accounting.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and supervisors to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and adapt plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols by conducting site inspections with tools such as an ohmmeter and adhering to OSHA regulations.
• Assist in managing contracts and procurement processes related to equipment and materials for underground projects.

Experience

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment within underground or pipeline projects.
• Strong background in construction site management with supervisory or supervising experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards specific to underground construction environments.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Hands-on experience with construction estimating, budgeting, quality control procedures, and contract management.
• Demonstrated competence in project scheduling and managing multiple tasks simultaneously on active sites.
• Practical experience reading schematics and using testing tools such as ohmmeters for quality assurance purposes.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and ensuring safety compliance across all phases of the project.
