Position Overview:
The Lead Secondary Computer Science Teacher will oversee and enhance our PLATO Lab, where students utilize the Edmentum platform for credit recovery and high school diploma completion. This individual will play a critical role in monitoring student progress, ensuring academic integrity, and providing meaningful instruction in computer science fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the PLATO Lab environment to ensure a structured, productive learning space
- Monitor student activity and progress within the Edmentum platform
- Track course completion, credit recovery milestones, and graduation requirements
- Provide direct instruction and support in:
- Computer fundamentals
- Software applications
- Digital literacy
- Keyboarding skills
- Offer individualized academic support and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress with administration and stakeholders
- Implement strategies to increase student engagement and course completion rates
- Ensure proper use of technology and uphold academic integrity standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Secondary Teaching Certification (Computer Science preferred)
- Strong technology skills and proficiency with learning management systems
- Experience with online learning platforms (Edmentum experience preferred)
- Ability to analyze data and monitor student performance metrics
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to student success and academic growth
