Annual Compensation:
- Starting Salary: $35,000, plus $4,168.00 in FRS retirement contributions

Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10 Hour shifts Monday-Friday)
Role and Responsibilities
The Records Clerk is responsible for the maintenance, control, retrieval and release of LCSO records; including offense reports, booking sheets, notice to appears, etc. In addition, the Central Records Assistant is responsible for entering uniform traffic citations, warnings, trespass notices and field interview cards. Must have knowledge of correct English usage, basic mathematical calculation, filing, retrieval of information, basic computer skills, proper telephone etiquette, and must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

- Repetitive motion using coordination and dexterity abilities
- Perform the Sheriff’s Office mail run to the downtown Judicial Complex and Cape Coral Complex is required
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be 18 years old, or older
- Must have obtained a high school or GED diploma
- Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state issued ID card
- Must possess a Social Security Card
- Must not have been convicted of a felony
- Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months
- Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces
- Must be able to work various shifts with rotating days off, as well as weekends, holidays and emergency events such as hurricanes
- Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language
Preferred Skills
- Computer literacy
- Good typing skills (approximately 30 wpm)
- Polite, courteous and professional demeanor
- Ability to drive
