Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate environmental contract cleaning service employees building assignments.
- Order, stock, organize, label and replenish janitorial supply inventory daily.
- Order, stock, organize, and distribute coffee and snack products to multiple buildings daily.
- Assist department employees with locating and loading materials.
- Assist/direct department employees with snow removal as needed.
- Assist/direct department and contract employees with janitorial/environmental cleaning tasks.
- Collect and distribute propane cylinders for multiple locations.
- Collect trash receptacles throughout the campus and contact vendors for site waste and recyclable materials pickup.
- Facilitate Fire extinguisher, eyewash, and emergency lighting monthly inspections as needed.
- Ensure storage areas are stocked, clean, safe, fully functioning, and orderly.
- Ensure successful completion of Facilities department projects.
Requirements:
- Must have at minimum entry level mechanical skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Prior fork truck operation, shipping and receiving/warehouse experience a plus.
- Ability to lead and work effectively with all personality types.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instruction.
- Self-directed and can work independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Chauffer's license not required, but preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.
- Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
- Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
