Job description:
Lee Christian School is a Christ-centered educational community committed to academic excellence and spiritual growth. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about academic excellence, student development, and integrating a biblical worldview into every aspect of classroom life. This teacher will foster a love for learning while helping students grow in knowledge, character, and faith.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans that align with our faith-based curriculum and promote critical thinking.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and spiritual growth.
- Assess student learning regularly and provide feedback to students and parents to support academic and personal development.
- Maintain accurate records, contribute to report cards and conferences, and communicate proactively with families.
- Participate in chapel, school-wide events, and professional development as a member of the LCS faculty.
- Support classroom routines and procedures that promote a safe, respectful, and joyful learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (required).
- Teaching experience (required).
- Strong classroom management, instructional, and communication skills.
- Agreement with and support for the mission, values, and statement of faith of Lee Christian School.
- A personal, growing relationship with Christ and commitment to a biblical lifestyle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACSI certification (or willingness to pursue).
- Experience in Christian education or children’s ministry.
