LEE Chamberlin Consultant Engineers is looking for a Survey Crew Chief to join our growing team! In this position, you will operate as a supervisor for our survey crew and additional staff members assisting in survey assignments. This position requires you to be diligent in field procedures, complete all assigned tasks in a timely fashion, and always maintains company standards. The types of surveys and tasks performed include ALTA/ACSM Land Titles Surveys, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking, and more. Survey crew chiefs adhere to QA/QC procedures and note-taking, along with following instructions/work orders from project managers. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be involved in civil engineering projects from a variety of different fields including transportation, city engineering, commercial sites, industrial sites, housing developments, surveying, construction administration, and more!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely fashion, be diligent in field procedures and maintain company standards at all times
- Supervise additional staff members assisting in survey assignments. Types of surveys performed: ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys and Construction Staking
- Adhere to QA/QC procedures and note taking
- Follow instruction and work orders from project managers
Qualifications
- Any use of a robotic total station or a GPS rover is required – equipment is Trimble GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Station (S7), Trimble (TSC3&7) and TDS Ranger Data Collectors
- 5 years of survey crew experience
- 2 survey crew chief experience including ALTA and Sectional Boundary Survey
- Construction layout, ability to read and comprehend Construction Plans
- Ability to use MicroStation and OpenRoads is a plus
- Ability to organize field notes and execute field staking
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- LSIT credential a plus
