What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Technician position at Lee & Associates Property Management Services?
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable, and comfortable handling a variety of building maintenance tasks while providing great service to tenants.
Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general building repairs including minor carpentry, hardware replacement, door and lock adjustments, drywall patching, and other basic maintenance work
- Troubleshoot minor plumbing and electrical issues
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and overall property conditions
- Assist with preventative maintenance to keep building systems operating properly
- Maintain common areas to ensure properties remain clean, safe, and presentable
- Document maintenance issues with notes, photos, and reports for management
- Identify issues requiring licensed vendors and communicate findings clearly to management
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Support seasonal maintenance needs such as storm preparation and snow-related tasks
Qualifications
- 3 years of building maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience preferred (commercial building experience a plus)
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Professional communication when interacting with tenants, vendors, and contractors
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders as needed

Pay: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
