What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant/ Licensed Practical Nurse position at Lee and Burack OB/GYN, P.C.?
As an LPN or MA you will be responsible for providing patient centered OB/GYN care and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. For LPN's, you will also administer vaccines and medications to patients. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. This position requires travel between our Albany and Troy locations.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history.
- take vital signs and general verbal reports from patients.
- Arrange laboratory services and input lab orders.
- Assist during medical examinations and procedures as needed.
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
- Schedule appointments as needed.
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.
- Restock and perform inventory as needed.
- Answer phone lines and direct patient messages.
- Administer medications/ injections (if applicable)
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or LPN in an OB/GYN Office setting. Candidates with no experience are encouraged to apply as we will train the right person!
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- MEDENT EHR knowledge preferred but not required.
- Ability to work as a team and support other staff members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
