Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across various projects (residential - resorts). Your expertise will ensure that all structures are built to precise specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your extensive carpentry skills while contributing to diverse construction and renovation projects.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing, cabinetry, trim, siding, drywall, flooring, and other wood construction materials with precision.
- Operate hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and levels as well as power tools including drills, saws for woodworking equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, stucco application, roofing tasks, and metal stud framing as needed for various projects.
- Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, moldings, siding panels, and other architectural elements following detailed instructions.
- Conduct restoration work including water damage remediation, plastering, drywall finishing, caulking, painting preparation and application.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols related to power tool operation and construction site safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter or in a similar construction role with a strong background in residential carpentry.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and framing tasks; familiarity with woodworking machines is a plus.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety procedures related to power tool safety and heavy lifting.
- Ability to read construction plans accurately and follow detailed instructions for diverse carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying or siding projects.
- Skills in working with various wood construction materials such as lumber types used in framing or finishing applications.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces; excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting onsite issues.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
