Overview
Must have mostly open schedule or willing to open schedule after training, we need a full time kitchen lead ASAP. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Kitchen Leader will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, safety, and customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to train and develop staff while maintaining a positive and efficient kitchen atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet established standards.
- Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and serving.
- Train and develop kitchen staff in food handling, safety protocols, and cooking techniques.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for efficient cash handling and order processing.
- Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control measures to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any guest concerns or feedback promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management within quick-service or fast-food restaurants.
- Strong culinary experience with a focus on food production techniques.
- Background in fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting principles.
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices, including interviewing and shift management.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality management.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards in food preparation.
