Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and gardening to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Install, repair, and maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Identify plants accurately for proper care and pest management; apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor spaces to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and gardening practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping and groundskeeping equipment operation
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation techniques
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture principles, pesticide management, and lawn care best practices
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while operating equipment or handling chemicals
- Experience in construction or hardscape projects is highly desirable
