Title: Pro Shop Lead/Assistant General Manager
Reports To: Management Team
Summary of Position:
Maintaining and checking inventories, developing ideas to enhance service and leading other co-workers in daily job duties & responsibilities while providing timely, accurate and friendly service to all guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist management with scheduling and hiring in pro shop positions.
- Complete pro shop inventory each month.
- Train ALL new employees for pro shop & driving range positions.
- Make sure all checklists & tasks are being completed.
- Maintain board weekly/daily with specials.
- Update Pro Shop employees on rates, specials for the week, league games, etc.
- Welcome and greet our guests. Engage them and make them feel comfortable. Let them know that you are there to take care of them.
- Inform guest(s) of specials in bar, menu changes, events coming up.
- Expert knowledge of all rates.
- Ability to update pricing in Aloha system and excellent knowledge with POS system,
- Learn the names and personally recognize our regular guests.
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make changes (if applicable).
- Follow and complete closing list and handle of money.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the manager.
- Assist in closing duties, counting tils, locking doors, enabling alarm system.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of pro shop inventory and supplies.
- Be available to fill in as needed (driving range, bar, kitchen) to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the golf course as directed by manager
Qualifications:
- Be 21 years of age.
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Have working knowledge of golf course play, etiquette, rules, etc.
- Possess basic math skills, have the ability to handle money, and operate a cash register.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift-up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work shifts, over the weekends, and on the public holidays as needed.
