What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Senior Tax Preparer/Tax Manager position at LEDGER INC?
Ledger Inc. Tax & Business Advisory in Manassas, VA is seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Preparer / Tax Manager for the January–May tax season, with potential for year-round employment.
This is not an entry-level role. We need an experienced professional who can independently prepare, review, and finalize complex individual tax returns with minimal supervision.
Strong experience should include Schedule C, Schedule E, depreciation, K-1s, basis issues, investments, estimated taxes, and multi-state returns.
EA strongly preferred; CPA or highly experienced non-credentialed preparers considered. Active PTIN required. Drake Tax experience strongly preferred.
QuickBooks Online and bookkeeping experience is a significant plus, particularly month-end close, reconciliations, cleanup work, and preparing books for tax returns.
Expected schedule is approximately 30–40 hours per week during tax season.
Compensation: $40–$55 per hour, depending on experience, credentials, and ability to work independently.
