Job Title: Temporary Staff Accountant

Location: Baltimore, MD (Fully On-Site)

Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour

Duration: 4-6 weeks (potential to extend)

Parking: Street parking available

About the Role:

A local Baltimore-based nonprofit is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to provide short-term support for their finance team. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and experienced in nonprofit accounting who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
• Support month-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards
• Support grant-related accounting and reporting (highly preferred)

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in accounting (nonprofit experience preferred)
• Grant accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
