About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in El Cerrito. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience managing project financials. The position will start as a temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project accounting functions, including job cost tracking and budget analysis
- Prepare and review financial reports for multiple projects
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and forecasts
- Handle accounts payable/receivable related to project activities
Requirements:
- Experience with Timberline (Sage 300) or Vista (Viewpoint) is required
- Strong understanding of construction or project-based accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
