What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Director- Structured Finance Banking position at Ledgend Group?
We are looking for a Senior Structured Finance Banker who will lead deal execution, from sourcing and financial modeling (cash flow analysis, risk assessment) to client presentations and closing, arranging complex financing like ABS, MBS, CLO's for assets such as CRE, infrastructure, or esoteric assets, managing investor/lender relationships, and mentoring junior staff, requiring strong analytical, modeling (Excel, third-party systems), negotiation, and communication skills for diverse stakeholders. This is for a fast growing firm that sits in New York but this role can also sit remote.
Responsibilities:
- Deal Origination & Execution: Source new financing opportunities, lead marketing efforts, negotiate with lenders/investors, and manage the end-to-end closing process.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop and manage complex cash flow models for structured products (CDOs, CLOs, ABS), analyze asset performance, credit quality, and market trends, and build predictive models.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, issuers, investors, rating agencies, and internal teams, presenting complex data clearly.
- Documentation & Compliance: Review legal documents (term sheets, loan docs, prospectuses) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare pitch materials, offering memorandums, and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
- Mentorship: Guide and develop junior analysts on the team.
Experience in the following will be a plus:
- Resi / mortgage or CRE structured finance (very interesting)
- Synthetic Risk Transfer / SRTs
- Unique ABS (e.g., esoterics, data center, etc.)
- Credit / secondaries banker
