Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and cleaning workstations to support chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, floors, and storage spaces, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
- Support catering events or banquet setups by providing clean dishes and assisting with food handling as needed.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely availability of clean items during busy service periods.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and food safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
- Experience with bussing tables or supporting food service operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel kitchen workflows enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and food handling procedures is beneficial.
