Pay Rate: $32-38 per hour dependent upon skill set and leadership experience

JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for oversight and leadership in Ledford’s production environment, including communicating with the GM about job scheduling. This role will be the driving force behind success and growth within the production environment.
The Production Supervisor would be expected to also operate the equipment to complete customer orders while being the primary set up resource.
Ledford’s Production environment mainly operates two Mazatrol programmed CNC Lathes. Parts are most commonly Aluminum and Brass, but Stainless Steel and Hot-rolled steel may also be seen. Production runs are most commonly 100-500 pcs with rare orders reaching 2000 pcs. Customers expect tightly held tolerances so in-process checks are completed regularly.
Experience with programming and operating Lathes using the Mazak/Mazatrol controller interface is required – including programming live tooling.
Candidates should have experience in a leadership role or should be extremely well versed in the concepts of business leadership
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Critical Responsibilities –
1) Individuals in this position are asked to carry out leadership and oversight of jobs and equipment in the shop. To include:
a. Setup, Operate and Maintain the Mazak Machining Centers
b. Set up and proof of jobs using existing programs and set up sheets or using new part prints provided.
c. Advising and assisting other team members on best path to completion, roadblocks or critical path items that may be best addressed soon.
d. Providing oversight and updates to the GM about status of assigned jobs.
2) The Production Supervisor will participate heavily in:
a. Hiring Evaluation & Interviewing
b. Merit Increases
c. Termination
3) The Production Supervisor will manage:
a. Performance Evaluation
b. Work Assignment
c. Complaint and Grievance Resolution
Other Duties as needed –
1) Monitor production environment cleanliness & machine preventative maintenance upkeep
2) Package completed parts for shipment to customer
3) Other tasks as assigned

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
