Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on heavy machinery at a surface mining site
- Perform equipment inspections, document necessary repairs, and assist in scheduling maintenance
- Safely and efficiently operate a fuel/service truck
- Help manage inventory of service kits, lubricants, oils, and other essential supplies
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to coordinate service activities
- Provide support to mechanics during equipment repairs
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
- Promote a culture of safety and productivity by adhering to all company, client, and regulatory safety standards
- Minimum of one year of experience in heavy equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with servicing and parts for Caterpillar, Hitachi, and Komatsu machinery
- Valid drivers license
- MSHA Part 48 certification for metal/nonmetal mining (training available if certification needs to be obtained or renewed)
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Overtime availability required
