What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver - Non-Emergency Medical Transport position at LED Transportation?
LED Transportation is seeking responsible and compassionate individuals to join our team in non-emergency medical transportation services. As a driver, you would be involved in transporting individuals safely and efficiently to scheduled appointments and assisting individuals with disabilities to and from adult day programs and work sites.
Positions Available:
- Part-time Driver (Monday-Friday; 4 hours/day)
* Morning Shift > 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM
* Afternoon Shift > 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Part-time Driver (Thursday-Saturday)
- Full-time opportunities may be available.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport individuals to scheduled appointments, adult day programs, and work sites.
- Assist individuals entering/exiting vehicles and secure wheelchairs and mobility devices properly for transport.
- Follow scheduled pick-up and drop-off times while maintaining punctuality.
- Maintain a friendly and respectful atmosphere for all passengers
- Communicate clearly with individuals, caregivers, and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of trips and promptly report any incidents.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any vehicle issues.
- Availability for at least one weekend a month.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass a background check and possible drug and alcohol screening
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must enjoy working with others
Compensation:
- Pay is based on experience
- 90-day probationary period
- Paid training
