Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee inventory management processes, ensure accurate stock levels, and support efficient warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help optimize supply chain workflows, improve inventory accuracy, and contribute to our overall operational excellence.
Duties
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data collection and data analysis skills using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including shipping & receiving processes and order fulfillment activities.
- Utilize data mining, supply chain analytics, and demand planning techniques to forecast inventory needs and support procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing, supplier management, contracts, and pricing negotiations to optimize inventory levels.
- Implement process improvements in materials handling, stocking procedures, and warehouse distribution to enhance efficiency.
- Operate forklifts and assist with heavy lifting tasks safely within warehouse environments.
Experience
- At least 4-5 years of experience managing inventory for multiple locations, 60,000 sq. feet building or bigger
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or supply chain roles with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Knowledge of logistics principles including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, materials handling, and production planning.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies effectively.
- Strong analysis skills with experience in financial modeling, demand planning, and supply chain analytics to support decision-making.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
