Incumbent will serve as an executive assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, high-level administrators, managers, industry division directors, economic development professionals and in some cases subordinate staff of those individuals in the Innovation Division. Incumbent is required to exercise a high degree of independent judgement, professionalism, discretion, and initiative in dealing with both normal assignments/activities and non-routine situations. General supervision is received from an unclassified Chief Executive Officer or a high-level administrator or manager in the classified service.AN IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:

- Communicating Effectively: The ability to convey information, ideas, and emotions using structured communication methods that promote understanding and engagement.

- Displaying Professionalism: The ability to uphold workplace standards through consistent conduct, responsible communication, and consideration for others.
Minimum Qualifications
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Manage executive calendars, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
- Prepare confidential reports, correspondence, contracts, and other business documents.
- Serve as liaison between executive leadership, staff, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Coordinate procurement activities, invoice processing, and purchasing documentation.
- Organize meetings, events, and presentations; record and distribute meeting minutes.
- Maintain office records, databases, filing systems, and incentive program files.
- Conduct research and prepare reports, studies, and presentation materials.
- Provide administrative support for special projects and daily office operations.
Appointment Type: Open & Promotional.
