The LECOM Institute for Successful Living is seeking a motivated and career-driven
Administrator-in-Training (AIT)
to join our team in Erie, PA. This full-time position is designed to prepare qualified candidates for licensure and advancement into a Nursing Home Administrator role within one or more of our skilled nursing facilities.The AIT program provides hands-on experience and structured training in all aspects of long-term care operations, leadership, regulatory compliance, and resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive training program under the guidance of a licensed Nursing Home Administrator/Preceptor
- Gain practical experience in all departments including nursing, dietary, housekeeping, social services, admissions, billing, and human resources
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Support quality improvement initiatives and performance management efforts
- Develop leadership, communication, and decision-making skills in a healthcare environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident care and operational efficiency
- Participate in budgeting, financial oversight, and census development activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred) in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field
- Must meet Pennsylvania state requirements for Administrator-in-Training program eligibility
- Strong interest in pursuing licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Prior experience in healthcare or long-term care is preferred but not required
